A little about me...
Hello and welcome back to another great year! Here is a little bit about me. This will be my 13th year here at FWES. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Political Science; I also have my Master's Degree in Education and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I am originally from the Philadelphia area and moved to Wake County fourteen years ago. I have two children ages 4 and 2 and love spending time with them.
I feel that teaching through technology is a must in today's world. Our room contains a Promethean Board, computer work stations, chromebooks and ipads. I ask that all students treat my equipment as if it were their own! Lastly, I always strive to achieve a healthy home-school relationship since it's vital to your child's success. Please check the class website often it will contain important dates as well classroom information!
For those of you new to Farmington Woods Elementary, students can begin arriving at 8:45 and our day begins at 9:15. Our day ends at 3:45 when the first bell rings for car riders, van riders and walkers; followed by bus riders.
During the first week of school, we will be setting the guidelines and expectations for the school year. The classroom expectations will be displayed in the room to help remind students of positive behavior.
I am looking forward to the many wonderful opportunities that await me in working with and getting to know your child. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at school by e-mail at [email protected].
